Who can receive services from Dominion Cares?
Anyone may access our services as long as they have a physician’s order for the type of care needed. Family consent is also required. For Medicaid or insurance-paid services, a County Social Worker and/or Public Health Nurse must complete an assessment of need. For private-pay clients, our RNs will conduct a thorough assessment following the physician’s order.
Does Dominion Cares qualify people for services?
If you are a Medical Assistance (MA/Medicaid) subscriber, your county social or financial worker will assist you in determining eligibility. Dominion Cares does not provide financial qualification services, but we can connect you with the appropriate county office. For private-pay clients, we will work directly with you to confirm your ability to pay and arrange a suitable payment plan.
